Josh Rabuck


Josh serves as the chair of the IOR Strategic Advisor team.  He has served in this capacity since November 2020. 

Josh serves as the Chief Investment Officer for Indiana University Health, overseeing the management of the investment program for the nation’s 4th largest Academic Medical System with $8Bn of assets across various pools of capital, including the system’s cash, long term investment pool, defined benefit plans, foundation and various insurance company reserves.  In addition to those capital pools, he also serves as a member of IU Health’s Retirement Plan Committee which oversees the system’s $2.5Bn defined contribution plans. Josh joined IU Health in 2011 as the system’s first Chief Investment Officer to establish an in-sourced investment management program that serves the needs of Indiana’s most comprehensive healthcare system. He has overseen the build-out of an institutional platform which has received industry recognition including the Institutional Investor Intelligence Risk Management Award in 2015 and has been nominated in 2016 and 2019 for Institutional Investors’ Hedge Fund Industry Healthcare System of the Year Award. Since joining the system, he has been named to Trusted Insight’s Top 30 Hospital Chief Investment Officers list and has hired and mentored an award-winning team which has recently resulted in the system’s Deputy CIO being named to AI-CIO’s Next Generation CIO list (2019).

Prior to joining IU Health, Josh served in several roles with the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS), completing his tenure as Deputy Chief Investment Officer. He led the efforts to launch the hedge fund program and helped lead the merger of the investment management of the Indiana State Teachers’ Retirement Fund (TRF) and the Indiana Public Employees’ Retirement Fund (PERF). He was the recipient of the 2011 Money Management Letter Rising Star Award and during his time with INPRS, the plan was awarded Money Management Letter’s Large Public Plan of the Year and the Governor’s Public Service Achievement Award.

He serves on the Investment Advisory Committee for AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL. He also serves in several capacities for Young Life Africa/Middle East – Chair, Divisional Leadership Team and Zimbabwe Regional Team Member. Josh earned his BA degree in Business and Religious Studies from Franklin College.
